PURPOSE:
A Resolution is required for the Transportation Department to enter into a three-year contract to provide thermoplastic pavement markings for City of Greensboro streets.
BACKGROUND:
On December 10, 2019, the Procurement Services Division, on behalf of the Transportation Department, conducted an on-line competitive request for proposals (RFP) for thermoplastic pavement markings. These markings are used to mark traffic lanes, road boundaries and symbols on paved surfaces. Triad Road Maintenance Company, Inc. was selected for this work. The M/WBE office was consulted as a part of this process and has concurs in awarding this contract to Triad Road Maintenance Company, Inc.

Funds to be encumbered under account number: 471-4502-32.5427
Estimated annual amount: $200,000.00
Estimated three-year amount: $600,000.00
RECOMMENDATION / ACTION REQUESTED:
The Transportation Department recommends and request approval of the attached Resolution to award the thermoplastic pavement markings contract to Triad Road Maintenance Company, Inc.
