PURPOSE:
Guilford County wishes to contract with the Greensboro Transit Authority (GTA) to provide non-emergency transportation service to medical facilities for eligible Medicaid recipients of the City of Greensboro, henceforth known as Medicaid Transportation Service (MTS). Trans Dev will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of MTS. In order to reimburse Trans Dev for eligible contracted transportation services, the subject contract Addendum #2 is required.

BACKGROUND:
Guilford County Department of Social Services, Administration and Transportation Division expressed interest in the Greensboro Transit Authority (GTA) providing Medicaid Transportation Service (MTS) for eligible Medicaid recipients of the City of Greensboro. The proposed MTS would be provided as a separate service, with dedicated vehicles and staff.

GTA's contractor, Trans Dev would be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the MTS. Trans Dev has provided a proposal dated March 25, 2015 for the service. Specifically, Trans Dev proposes to utilize 7.5 positions (1 coordinator, 1 part time customer service representative, and six (6) operators and lease six (6) vehicles for the start-up service beginning on May 11, 2015. Beginning October 4, 2015, Trans Dev would lease five (5) additional vehicles and employ nine (9) additional operators to accommodate the demand and growth in passenger trips. All trips provided would originate and terminate within the City limits of Greensboro. The targeted state date is May 11, 2015.
