PURPOSE:
City Council consideration is requested for a resolution amending the FY 2021-22 CDBG Program Application and Activities.

BACKGROUND:
On May 4, 2021, City Council approved the acceptance and application for the FY 2021-22 entitlement funds awarded to the City from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) based on published formula allocations. On May 14, 2021, HUD informed the city that since issuing the original allocations, the FY 2021 CDBG allocations were revised. As such, the revision resulted in a $34,031 increase in the allocation for Greensboro, which revises the federal award amount from $2,309,267 to $2,343,298.

BUDGET IMPACT:
The original grant allocation for FY 2021-22 CDBG will be increased by $34,031 from $2,459,267 to $2,493,298 (including estimated program income in the amount of $150,000).
