PURPOSE:
A Resolution is required for Police, Transportation, Libraries, Water Resources, Parks & Recreation, and Executive Departments to enter into a contract for security services.
BACKGROUND:
On February 17, 2021, the Procurement Services Division conducted an on-line competitive request for proposal (RFP) for Security Services at Various City Departments through the Greensboro E-Procurement System. The solicitation yielded seven responsive bids. The seven bids were reviewed and scored by a committee of nine, that consisted of Police, Transportation, Libraries, Water Resources, Parks & Recreation, Executive, Field Operations and M/WBE employees. Of the seven bids received, two were from a registered M/WBE firm with the State of North Carolina. East Coast Protective Services Inc., a MBE firm was determined to be the best value and qualified bidder and the selected recommended award. Additional details are provided in the below links.
