PURPOSE:
The Parks & Recreation Department is seeking City Council’s approval to award the Barber Park Facility Mowing Contract.
BACKGROUND:
On February 4, 2021, the Procurement Services Division conducted an open solicitation for the Barber Park Facility Mowing Contract through the Greensboro E-Procurement System, the State Interactive Purchasing Site (IPS) and the North Carolina HUB Site. The solicitation yielded six bids that were reviewed for responsiveness, which narrowed the considered acceptable bids to four. The four bids were reviewed and scored by a five party committee that consisted of Parks & Recreation, Field Operations and M/WBE employees. Of the four bids received, one was from a registered M/WBE firm with the State of North Carolina, and the selected recommended award.

BUDGET IMPACT:
The Barber Park Facility Mowing Contract will be funded as follows:
$ 125,400.00 total for the three year contract, $ 41,800.00 per year - 101-5019-05.5422
RECOMMENDATION / ACTION REQUESTED:
The Parks & Recreation Department recommends and requests the approval of the attached Resolution to enter into an agreement with T&J Lawn and the City of Greensboro.
