PURPOSE:
City Council approval is requested to convey a Permanent Utility Easement to Duke Energy in order for Duke Energy to install a new underground transmission line to modernize the areas energy grid in order to improve reliability, prevent outages, and enhance service.

The subject property is located at 2507 Argonne Boulevard, parcel #0040465. This property is owned by the City of Greensboro.

The property is zoned R-5 (Residential Single-family 5). The required Permanent Utility Easement conveyance is an area of 16,366 Sq. Ft. (.375 acre).

BUDGET IMPACT:
No budget impact is expected with the conveyance of the Permanent Utility Easement to Duke Energy.

RECOMMENDATION / ACTION REQUESTED:
The Property Management Section of the Engineering and Inspections Department recommends the approval of this conveyance.
