PURPOSE:
Extend use of North Carolina State contract with CAI ITS-008803 (ITS-400343-006) for supplemental staffing through the end June 30, 2021 on PO#70441.
BACKGROUND:
Application Development is understaffed and due to the high demand of projects and turnover of staff we chose to leverage the state contract for supplemental staffing through April 30, 2021. The state extended the contract with CAI on February 19th, 2021. This extension gives IT the desired continuity of operations by extending the same two fully trained consultants through the end of the fiscal year. At that time we will evaluate how to proceed in the next fiscal year.
BUDGET IMPACT:
Additional Funding for the Consulting fees are included in the adopted budget. This below amount represents the change order to PO 70441, bringing the full contract value to $150,380.

RECOMMENDATION/ACTION REQUESTED:
The Information Technology Department recommends that the City Council approve and authorize a resolution to extend consulting services with CAI contract ITS-008803 (ITS-400343-006).
