PURPOSE:
The City of Greensboro Water Resources Department is requesting approval for Construction Administration and RPR services for the 2020 Townsend Water Treatment Plant (WTP) Improvements Project. City Council approval of a contract in the amount of $431,825.00 is requested.

BACKGROUND:
The 2020 Townsend Water Treatment Plant Improvements Project includes the construction of a sanitary lift station, gravity sewer, force main, and chemical spill containment structures. We will also be abandoning the existing septic tank. The Construction Administration and RPR Services for this project will include, but is not limited to, shop drawing reviews, review of invoices, field visits, construction admin paper work, and on-site field representative. Arcadis G&M of North Carolina, Inc., was selected to the Water Resources on call in November 2019. Arcadis prepared the design drawings for this project and is the Engineer of Record. For this contract, project team will consist of Arcadis and CriTek Engineering Group. CriTek Engineering Group is a local MBE's. The anticipated MBE utilization for this project is 45.34% of the total contract amount.

BUDGET IMPACT:
Funding in the amount of $431,825.00 is budgeted in the Water Resources Capital Fund Account #503-7030-04.6019, CBR#A21045.
