PURPOSE:
The City of Greensboro Water Resources Department is requesting to enter into a professional services contract with Arcadis G&M of North Carolina, Inc. to provide design services for the Four Farms Road and Misc. Water Booster Station Improvements Project. City Council approval of a contract in the amount of $574,400 is requested.

BACKGROUND:
The professional services of Arcadis G&M of North Carolina, Inc. will be utilized to design a water booster pump station to support the 1070 pressure zone. Previous Master Planning reports suggested a pump station with two (2) - 2 mgd pumps will be sufficient to boost water from the 1010 to the 1070 pressure zone to be able to meet for both current and projected water demands. The design services team will include Arcadis G&M of North Carolina, Inc., CriTek Engineering Group, P.C; SAMR, PLLC; Stewart Engineering, Inc; CITI, LLC. and TFF Architects & Planners, LLP. CriTek Engineering Group, P.C; SAMR, PLLC; Stewart Engineering, Inc. and CITI, LLC. are all local MBE's and their utilization is 18.07%. TFF Architects & Planners, LLP. is a local WBE and their utilization is 1.12% for a total MWBE utilization of 19.19% of the contract amount.

BUDGET IMPACT:
Funding is budgeted in Water Resources Capital Fund account 503-7030-08.5410 in the amount of $574,400. A budget adjustment is needed to use this account.
