PURPOSE:
The bids for Contract 2020-014 - 2020 Water Main Rehabilitation and Replacement Project, have been received. In order for the work to proceed on this contract, City Council approval is requested for award of the contract to Mainlining America, LLC for $6,488,467.00.
BACKGROUND:
The work consists of the following: 6 inch and 8 inch water main rehabilitation through spray in place application of a semi-structural in-situ liner, valve and fitting replacements, open cut dig and re-lay; and water service renewal and open-cuts. Ancillary tasks include fire hydrant replacement, sidewalk and pavement replacement, and other site renewal tasks.

The bids were opened on September 24, 2020. The MBE participation goal was 3.5% and the WBE participation goal was 5.5%. The contractor commitment for these goals is MBE 3.82% and WBE 6.16%.
