PURPOSE:
Pamela and Alberto Rodriguez have petitioned for annexation of their property located at 3443 Randleman Road. The City Council is required to hold a public hearing on this petition before considering its approval.

BACKGROUND:
This noncontiguous annexation is within the boundary of Growth Tier 1 on the Anticipated Growth Maps in the Comprehensive Plan.

City water will be available by connecting to the 8-inch line located within Randleman Road. In order for this site to be served with water the owner would be responsible for all costs associated with extending and connecting to the public line.

City sewer will be available by connecting to the 8-inch line located approximately 460 feet south of the site. The applicant has been advised that sewer might need to come from the rear of the property. In order for this site to be served with sanitary sewer the owner would be responsible for all costs associated with extending and connecting to the public line.

The City's Fire Department notes that this site is currently located in the Pinecroft-Sedgefield Fire District, but City Station #61 on West Vandalia Road (northwest of the request) is first to respond. Pinecroft-Sedgefield Station #24 on Bishop Road (west of the request) also provides service to the subject parcel. Upon annexation, the property will continue to be served by City Station #61.
