PURPOSE:
Establish an Ad Hoc Committee for African American Disparity
BACKGROUND:
The Human Relations Department, on behalf of a community working group, is requesting the establishment of an Ad-hoc Committee on African American Disparity, with potential to evolve into a permanently standing commission. The focus will be to work toward the elimination of barriers that prevent access to resources, at a more significant rate for African Americans than other minorities, or Whites.
