PURPOSE:
City Council is asked to vote on approving the sale of property at 1548 McConnell Road owned by the City of Greensboro and 1600, 1602 and 1604 McConnell Road owned by the Redevelopment Commission of Greensboro (RCG) to True Homes, LLC for the purposes of building four detached houses.

BACKGROUND:
True Homes, LLC, a residential building company has proposed purchasing four parcels on McConnell Road from City of Greensboro and RCG. True Homes has proposed to build four detached, for sale, single-family homes on the properties in partnership with North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.

True Homes has offered to buy the property for $20,000. The RCG held a public hearing on March 4th, 2020, and voted to recommend the sale of the properties to True Homes at that price, with the following conditions:

1. Use of the properties shall be limited to four (4) for-sale, single-family homes;
2. Project will be completed in conjunction with North Carolina Agricultural and Technical University;
3. Prior to closing, purchaser shall submit and have approved by the Commission detailed site plan and fa?ade elevations; and
4. Prior to closing, purchaser shall submit and have approved by the Commission evidence of funding for the construction of the improvements on the properties.
