PURPOSE:
City Council approval is requested to authorize the city manager to execute a contract modification in the contract (2017-5251) with Arbor E&T, LLC d/b/a ResCare Workforce Services in the amount of $45,000 to fund Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Adult and Dislocated Worker services through June 30, 2020.
BACKGROUND:
The Workforce Development Board/City of Greensboro has contracted with Arbor E&T, LLC d/b/a ResCare Workforce Services to provide comprehensive workforce services for Adults and Dislocated Workers since October 2014.
Due to high demand of services, additional funds are needed in the contract to effectively deliver services through June 30, 2020.
BUDGET IMPACT:
Funds for this contract modification are budgeted in the Workforce Development Workforce and Innovation Act grant accounts. All funds to be used are US Department of Labor funds passed through the NC Department of Commerce. No COG general revenue funds are requested.
RECOMMENDATION / ACTION REQUESTED:
It is recommended and requested that the City Council authorize the city manager to execute a contract modification in the contract (2017-5251) with Arbor E&T, LLC d/b/a ResCare Workforce Services in the amount of $45,000.
