PURPOSE:
City Council is a being requested to approve the acceptance of 349 YY E Montcastle Drive, Parcel #93020 from Habitat for Humanity of Greater Greensboro as an open space donation.
BACKGROUND:
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Greensboro approached the City regarding the donation of 349 YY E Montcastle Drive for the use as drainage way and open space. The parcel is 4.54 acres and is adjacent to existing drainage way and open space property already owned by the City of Greensboro. The parcel cannot be used for development by Habitat due to topography and utility easements.
BUDGET IMPACT:
Funding in the amount of $26.00 for the Guilford County Register of Deeds recording fee is budgeted in the Parks and Recreation Department Account #101-5029-01.5288.
RECOMMENDATION / ACTION REQUESTED:
The Parks and Recreation Department requests and recommends City Council approval of the attached resolution that accepts the donation from Habitat for Humanity of Greater Greensboro.
