PURPOSE:
A budget ordinance needs to be approved to amend the Guilford County TAMS grant budget due to a revised request from the County.

BACKGROUND:
At the October 16, 2018 meeting, the Greensboro City Council approved a budget ordinance establishing FY2018 FTA Section 5339 Bus and Bus Facilities.

Guilford County Transportation and Mobility Services (TAMS) is a sub-recipient under the City's FY2018 FTA Section 5339 grant. Under a Transit Allocation Plan, adopted by the Greensboro Urban Area Metropolitan Planning Organization on March 22, 2017, Guilford County is allocated up to 7% of the total allocation yearly. In fiscal year 2018, Guilford County received $45,418 in FTA Section 5339 funding. The County's original project was the purchase of one (1) replacement less than 30 foot paratransit vehicle. Guilford County was required to provide the 15% required local match, in the amount of $8,015. At the request of Guilford County, this grant was amended on June 3, 2019 to revise their project to the purchase of two (2) support vehicles. The support vehicles will require a 20% match in the amount of $11,355.

BUDGET IMPACT:
The original funding for Guilford County's project under this grant was as follows:

$45,418 (85%) Federal
$ 8,015 (15%) Local
$53,433

The amended funding for Guilford County's project under this grant is as follows:

$45,418 (80%) Federal
$11,355 (20%) Local
$56,773

No additional City funds are required.
