PURPOSE:
A Resolution is required for the Planning Department to enter into a contract to provide services for mowing, maintenance, and lot clean up from January 1, 2020 to June 30, 2022.
BACKGROUND:
On November 14, 2019, the Procurement Services Division conducted an on-line competitive request for proposals (RFP) for mowing, maintenance, and lot clean up services, on behalf of the Planning Department. The purpose of this contract is to provide mowing, maintenance, and lot clean up services on property owned by the Redevelopment Commission of Greensboro, the Greensboro Housing Development Partnership, and some City owned property. Wallis Leigh McBride dba McBride Lawn Care was determined to be the best value and qualified bidder, and was selected for this work. The M/WBE office was consulted during this process and has concurred with the agreement to award this contract to Wallis Leigh McBride dba McBride Lawn Care. BUDGET IMPACT:
The estimate budget over 2 and a half years is as follows:
For January 1, 2020 to June 30, 2020, $75,000 under account number 211-2101-02.5285.
Estimated annual amount for subsequent years: $150,000.00.
Estimated 2 1/2 Year total: $375,000.00.
RECOMMENDATION / ACTION REQUESTED:
The Planning Department recommends and requests approval of the attached Resolution to award mowing, maintenance, and lot clean up services contract to Wallis Leigh McBride dba McBride Lawn Care.
