PURPOSE:
The City of Greensboro Water Resources Department is requesting to enter into a professional services contract with Arcadis G&M of North Carolina, Inc to provide construction administration services for the Groometown Road water booster station construction project.

BACKGROUND:
On November 28, 2018, the Water Resources Department issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for Groometown Road and Airpark Court Booster Station Design Projects. Seven firms submitted proposals by the January 18, 2018 deadline. The proposal submitted by Arcadis G&M of North Carolina, Inc. received the top score for the Design of the Groometown Road Water Booster Station Improvements Project. City council authorized the design contract on June 19, 2018.

Groometown Road tank pump station will help address high water age issues in the vicinity of the tank by allowing water to be drawn directly from the tank and discharged back into the distribution system. The professional services of Arcadis G&M of North Carolina, Inc., a Water Resources on-call consultant, will be utilized for the construction administration to support the construction of the Groometown Road booster pump station due to their experience with the design of the project.
