PURPOSE:
City Council is requested to approve a 59 month term Trane HVAC Equipment and Controls Maintenance Service Contract between Brady Services, Inc. and Greensboro Coliseum for ongoing support and maintenance of the Trane HVAC Equipment and Controls system at the Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts (Tanger Center). This maintenance service contract will also include the required annual NFPA 72, NFPA 25, fire pump and generator testing/inspections at Tanger Center.

BACKGROUND:
Brady Services, Inc. installed a custom designed Trane HVAC Equipment and Controls System in the Tanger Center as part of the construction contract. With this complex Trane HVAC Controls system throughout the Tanger Center, it is critical these proprietary Trane HVAC Equipment and Controls systems be operated and maintained by qualified and manufacturer certified Trane HVAC equipment and controls engineers and technicians.

M/WBE:
Coliseum staff worked closely with the MWBE staff and reached out to the MWBE HVAC registered and listed contractors in the city's MWBE data bank, both by email and with follow up telephone calls. However, none of these HVAC Contractors responded to the request for proposal (RFP) for this contract.
