PURPOSE:
This contract continues the architectural design services of the Lead Architect for the Steven B. Tanger Performing Arts Center ("Tanger Center"), Amanda Hodgins, formerly of Rosser International, Inc., during the construction of the facility.
BACKGROUND:
Rosser International, Inc. ("Rosser") was the original Architect of Record for the design and construction of the Tanger Center. On or about June 25, 2019, however, Rosser went out of business and laid off all of its employees, including its Lead Architect for the Tanger Center, Amanda Hodgins. As Rosser's Lead Architect for Tanger Center, Amanda Hodgins has extensive knowledge and familiarity with the Tanger Center REVIT Model Plans, addressed any RFI changes, and provided Construction Administration services pursuant to Rosser's contract. Retaining her services is of paramount importance to the continuity of the construction and completion of the project within the scheduled project completion date. Ms. Hodgins is now employed as a Senior Associate with TVS North Carolina, P.C., and this contract continues the services she was providing on the Tanger Center with Rosser in her new capacity as a Senior Associate with TVS North Carolina, P.C.
BUDGET IMPACT:
The funds for this not to exceed contract amount of $140,000 are budgeted in Account number 527-7501-01.5410
