PURPOSE:
City Council is requested to authorize contracts with local agencies to expend funds remaining for Fiscal Year 2018-2019, in the amount of $61,659.63, for the conduct of homelessness prevention activities. These funds were awarded under the FY 2018-2019 contract between the City and Partners Ending Homelessness (PEH).

Beginning FY 2019-2020, the City assumed responsibility for the administration of its homelessness prevention programs. At June 30, 2019, $61,659.63 of FY 18-19 funding remains unexpended by two awarded agencies under contract with PEH. These funds will be returned to the City. The City will execute direct contracts with awarded agencies to expend the remaining funds for FY 18-19.
Council is requested to consider contracting for the continued use of the subject 2018-2019 funds as follows:
Funding Source
Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) $16,712.43
