PURPOSE:
To authorize the designation of an official to make recommendations to the North Carolina Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission on ABC permit applications.
BACKGROUND:
NCGS Section 188-904 provides for the governing body of a City to designate an official of the City, by name or by position, to make recommendations concerning the suitability of a person or of a location for an ABC permit. Council is being asked to designate the Commanding Officer of the Vice Narcotics Division of the Greensboro Police Department.
BUDGET IMPACT:
There will be no budget impact as a result of this resolution.
RECOMMENDATION / ACTION REQUESTED:
City Council is being requested to consider adoption of the resolution.
