PURPOSE:
The purpose of this request is to increase the FY 19-20 General Capital Improvements Fund Budget to add funding for capital expenditures related to the Plan2Play implementation efforts by the Parks & Recreation Department.
BACKGROUND:
As part of the FY 19-20 budget adoption, an additional amount of one-time funding of $300,000 was included for Plan2Play implementation by the Parks & Recreation Department. This funding was initially included within the Parks & Recreation Department’s departmental budget. Given the capital nature of these expenditures, and to prevent limiting the use of funds to one fiscal year, the General Capital Improvements Fund Budget is a more appropriate place to budget these funds.
BUDGET IMPACT:
There is no additional appropriation of funds required.
