PURPOSE:
City Council approval is requested to authorize the City Manager to negotiate and execute a contract extension with Two Hawk Workforce Services in an amount not to exceed $330,000 to fund Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act One Stop Operator Services through June 30, 2020.
BACKGROUND:
The Workforce Development Board/City of Greensboro issued an RFP to procure One Stop Operation Services in the Guilford County NCWorks Career Centers for Fiscal Year 2019-20.
On April 26, 2019, the Workforce Development Board voted to approve the contract through June 30, 2020 at a cost not to exceed $330,000 for the period of July 1, 2019 - June 30, 2020.
BUDGET IMPACT:
Funds for this contract modification are budgeted in the following Office of Workforce Development Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act accounts. All funds to be utilized are US Department of Labor funds passed through the NC Department of Commerce. No General Funds are requested.
RECOMMENDATION / ACTION REQUESTED:
It is requested that the City Council authorize the City Manager to negotiate and execute a contract in an amount not to exceed $330,000 with Two Hawk Workforce Services.
