PURPOSE:

The Water Resources Department requests City Council’s recognition of the winners of the Water Conservation and Soil Conservation Poster Contest.

 

BACKGROUND:

The City of Greensboro Water Resources Department and Guilford County Soil and Water Conservation District sponsored the poster contest for Guilford County students in grades K-5. Contests are held in two categories: Water Conservation and Soil Conservation.

 

This year the Water Conservation theme for kindergarten, first and second graders was “Water is Life”. The Soil Conservation theme for third through fifth graders was “The Living Soil”. First and second place winners are chosen from the Water Conservation contest and first, second and third place winners are chosen from the Soil Conservation contest.

 

BUDGET IMPACT:

There is no budget impact for this agenda item.
