PURPOSE:
To amend Sec. 2-140 of the Greensboro Code of Ordinances to conform to adopted Boards and Commission attendance policies and procedures.
BACKGROUND:
Sec. 2-140 currently reflects attendance policies that are inconsistent with the Boards and Commission Handbook. At the request of City Council, staff researched practices of other municipalities and received expert advice from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Government to amend, adapt and improve on the City of Greensboro Boards and Commissions policies.

RECOMMENDATION / ACTION REQUESTED:
It is recommended that City Council adopt the ordinance to amend Chapter 2 Article V, Section 2-140 of the Greensboro Code of Ordinances with Respect to Boards and Commission.
