PURPOSE:
James and Barbra Pugh have petitioned for annexation of their property located at 5308 Winterset Drive. In order to consider the annexation covered by this petition, the City Council must set a public hearing.

BACKGROUND:
This property is within the Tier 1 Growth Area (2013-2019) on the Growth Strategy Map in the Comprehensive Plan. This site current contains and will continue to contain one single family dwelling.

City water will be available by connecting to the 12-inch water line within located approximately 560 feet to the east in Millstream Road. In order for this site to be served with water, the owner would be responsible for all costs associated with extending and connecting to the public line.

City sanitary sewer service will be available by connecting to the 8-inch sewer line with Winterset Drive. In order for this site to be served with sanitary sewer, the owner would be responsible for all costs associated with extending and connecting to the public line.

The City's Fire Department notes that this site is currently served and upon annexation will continue to be served by City Station #57 and McCleansville Station #37. However, it should be noted that this isn't a hydranted location. This would result in needing a special response, requiring GFD to request additional units from the county, which would result in longer response times, which would affect our Standard of Cover and our Effective Response Force.
