PURPOSE:
Contract approval for physician to oversee the City’s medical clinic and act as Medical Review Officer (MRO).
BACKGROUND:
The clinic conducts new hire physicals for police, fire and general employees and treats workers comp injuries for all city employees. The clinic also conducts drug screens for CDL holders and safety sensitive positions. The clinic treats minor acute personal illness and injures for City employees and conducts health promotions with City employees to reduce City health care costs.
BUDGET IMPACT:
Cost of contract over 5 year period will be $198,000
RECOMMENDATION / ACTION REQUESTED:
Please approve the contract for the vendor that was selected by the selection committee and approved by MWBE office.
