PURPOSE:
City Council is requested to approve contract 2017-055B with AVOGT Construction, a minority contractor (MBE), for the renovations of Soabar Street to house the District 2 Police Patrol Division.
BACKGROUND:
The District 2 Police Patrol Division is relocating from the Kitchens Operations Building into the recently purchased Soabar Building located at 2305 Soabar Street. Police will move the command staff, administration offices, patrol offices and the Vice Narcotics Division from Yanceyville Street into the building.
Bids were accepted and opened on October 2, 2018 for the interior renovations. Below is a summary of the bid that were submitted:

Funding for this project is available in the following account: 220-3579-01, 220-3579-02, and 503-7028-08. A budget adjustment is needed to use the Water Resources account.

Police is requesting that City Council approve this contract with A Vogt in the amount of $964,947 and budget adjustment.
