PURPOSE:
The City of Greensboro entered into an Agreement for Professional Consulting Services with Transportation Management and Design, Inc. (TMD) to complete the Mobility Greensboro 2040 Long Range Public Transportation Plan for the Greensboro Transit Authority. A resolution must be approved to amend this contract in order to accommodate additional work.
BACKGROUND:
The total contract amount for Phase 1 and 2 of the Mobility Greensboro 2040 Long Range Public Transportation Plan was $248,601. In order for TMD to complete additional tasks associated with the Plan, a contract amendment needs to be approved extending the period of performance and adding additional funding in the amount of $45,162. This contract amendment would allow TMD to provide additional transit network refinement and implementation support. In addition, the amendment will accommodate an additional on-site meeting and presentation to the GTA Board and staff. The maximum cost to the City for the Professional Consultant Services accomplished under the agreement with TMD shall not exceed $293,763.
As a recipient of Federal Funds, the City of Greensboro/GTA is responsible to ensure compliance with the Federal Transit Administration Disadvantage Business Enterprise (DBE) program. For this project TMD had a 5% DBE participation rate which met the Federal DBE requirements and project goal. TMD used the firm Market Solution based out of Raleigh as a DBE for this project.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
Funding for this contract amendment in the amount of $45,162 is budgeted in FY 19 Section 5303 Planning Grant account 220-4508-01.5413
