PURPOSE:

City Council consideration is requested for a budget ordinance increasing the FY 18-19 Nussbaum Affordable Housing Partnership Fund allocation for additional planned housing activities.

BACKGROUND:

The Neighborhood Development Department’s FY 18-19 Nussbaum Affordable Housing Partnership budget ordinance, approved by City Council in June 2018, included only the annual levy amount which was allocated for administration, asset management and homeless services. Additional planned housing activities were anticipated to be funded from unallocated Nussbaum Fund balance once the fiscal year end process had been completed.

The additional activities include costs associated with the homeowner repairs, foreclosures, housing study, relocation expenses and office security.

BUDGET IMPACT:

The increased appropriation for FY 18-19 Nussbaum Affordable Housing Partnership Fund, in the amount of $154,000, is reflected in the attached ordinance.

RECOMMENDATION / ACTION REQUESTED:

City Council is requested to approve the budget ordinance amending FY 18-19 Nussbaum Affordable Housing Partnership Fund Budget Ordinance.
