PURPOSE:

To establish an intergovernmental agreement between Guilford Metro 911 and various governmental agencies to service and maintain radio equipment. Such services will be billed to these agencies based on an approved billing schedule.

 

BACKGROUND:

Guilford Metro 911 serves as a regional radio equipment service provider to multiple government agencies and institutions and has been approached by other agencies to provide the same for their entity.

 

BUDGET IMPACT:

These are revenue contracts that are estimated to bring in collectively $ 285,000.00 annually.

 

RECOMMENDATION / ACTION REQUESTED:

Council is requested to adopt the attached Resolution Authorizing the Intergovernmental Agreements between Guilford Metro 911 and The City of High Point, The City of Thomasville, Alamance Community College, and The City of Graham Police Department for Radio Equipment Maintenance and Service.
