PURPOSE:
In December of 2017, City Council adopted an ordinance annexing property located on the south side of McConnell Road. Since the annexation petition was only submitted for 2924 and 3136 McConnell Road, the ordinance has been revised to eliminate all references to 2900 and 2910 McConnell Road.
BACKGROUND:
On December 19, 2017, City Council adopted Annexation Ordinance #312-17 for North Carolina A & T University property on McConnell Road.
The ordinance and annexation map have been recorded in Deed Book 8020 on Page 1148 in the Guilford County Register of Deeds.
Since the heading and associated map incorrectly included the rear portions of 2900 and 2910 McConnell Road, the ordinance and map have been revised to make reference to the property at 2924 and 3136 McConnell Road as those that were annexed.
BUDGET IMPACT:
This item will have no impact on the current or future budgets.
RECOMMENDATION / ACTION REQUESTED:
Accordingly, it is recommended that on September 19, 2018, the City Council consider adoption of the revised ordinance annexing the above-mentioned property into the City of Greensboro.
