PURPOSE:
To amend Sec. 28-68 of the Greensboro Code of Ordinances to make a conforming change.
BACKGROUND:
In February 2017, the Greensboro City Council revised the Taxicab Ordinance. The amendments included a five (5) year restriction on eligibility for persons convicted of driving under the influence. This restriction is found in section 28-34(b)(2)(e) and should have been repeated in section 28-68. However only section 28-34(b)(2)(e) was changed. This error has recently come to light, and it is necessary to make the conforming change to Section 28-68 so that both sections are aligned.

RECOMMENDATION / ACTION REQUESTED:
It is recommended that City Council amend Chapter 28 Sec. 28-68 of the Greensboro Code of Ordinances to make the conforming change.
