PURPOSE:

City Council approval is requested for an amendment to the agreement between the City and Kellin Foundation for the Child Response Initiative (CRI) for the Governor’s Crime Commission (GCC) grant. The amendment will result in an increase to the Kellin Foundation contract of $1,032 which will be funded through grant funds.

BACKGROUND:

The original CRI agreement included the project director as a contractor to be paid from grant funds. However, it is now the desire of Kellin Foundation and the Police Department that the director be replaced on the GCC grant by a victim’s advocate position. To enable the advocate to be paid for their services from the grant, an amendment to the agreement needs to be made. Furthermore, this change will include increasing the original contract by $1,032 for training. The additional funds are provided by the GCC grant.

BUDGET IMPACT:

Funds for the amendment of $1,032 are budgeted in 220-3585-01.5413 and 220-3585-02.5413.

RECOMMENDATION / ACTION REQUESTED:

The Police Department requests City Council approval of the contract amendment on contract 2018-5069.
