PURPOSE:
To grant an Encroachment Agreement in City right-of-way and City property for the installation of a Welded Steel Security Fence at 1414 E. Washington Street. When public or private entities request to use City right-of-way, it is required that they secure approval by City Council.
BACKGROUND:
GBORO AG II, LLC approached the City in order to request installation of a Welded Steel Security Fence in City right-of-way. The fence is to be six feet in height and is to include 3-five foot high fire access gates. The material is to be welded steel.
This encroachment, along McConnell Road at intersection with 1414 E. Washington Street, has been reviewed and approved by Engineering & Inspections, Transportation, Planning and Legal. Refer to attached plan sheet and site map for further information.
BUDGET IMPACT:
There is no budget impact; all associated costs will be incurred by GBORO AG II, LLC.
RECOMMENDATION / ACTION REQUESTED:
Engineering & Inspections and the Transportation Departments recommend that City Council grant GBORO AG II, LLC an Encroachment Agreement for the use of locating the Welded Steel Security Fence in City right-of-way and City property.
