PURPOSE:
To grant an Encroachment Agreement in City right-of-way and City property for the installation of Operational Kiosks. When public or private entities request to use City right-of-way, it is required that they secure approval by City Council.
BACKGROUND:
Carroll at Bellemeade, LLC approached the City in order to request placement of Operational Kiosks in City right-of-way. The kiosks are to promote pedestrian activities occurring in the vicinity of the Carroll at Bellemeade.
This encroachment, the location (along the east side of Eugene Street between Bellemeade Street and Smith Street), and dimensions of the kiosks have been reviewed and approved by Engineering & Inspections, Transportation, Planning and Legal. Refer to attached detail for further information.
BUDGET IMPACT:
There is no budget impact; all associated costs will be incurred by Carroll at Bellemeade, LLC.
RECOMMENDATION / ACTION REQUESTED:
Engineering & Inspections and the Transportation Departments recommend that City Council grant Carroll at Bellemeade, LLC an Encroachment Agreement for the use of locating the Operational Kiosks in City right-of-way and City property.
