PURPOSE:
The bids for Contract 2018-8902 - Technology Upgrade have been received. In order for the work to proceed on this contract, City Council approval is requested for award of the contract to Clark Powell Associates, for $277,120.00.
BACKGROUND:
Specifications were determined and a competitive bid was solicited by City of Greensboro Purchasing Department for the purchase and installation of video and audio technology upgrade to the Public Safety Training Facility. Scope of work includes all necessary equipment, wiring, connectors and installation. The lowest responsible bidder is Clark Powell with a bid of $277,120.00.
BUDGET IMPACT:
Funding for this project is budgeted in the adopted FY 17-18 General Capital Improvements Project Fund Budget (411-6018-03.5613).
RECOMMENDATION / ACTION REQUESTED:
It is recommended by the fire department that the City Council approve the recommended bid and award Contract 2018-8902 to Clark Powell Associates for the bid amount of $277,120.00 to perform the technology upgrade at Public Safety Training Facility.
