PURPOSE:
The Parks and Recreation Department seeks to apply for a $30,000 National Recreation and Parks "Meet Me at the Park-Play Spaces Grant" for the Brightwood Neighborhood Park. The Meet Me at the Park-Play Spaces Grant requires a dollar-for-dollar match of $30,000, which is included in the Brightwood Neighborhood Park development's existing project budget. The Meet Me at the Park-Play Spaces Grant would provide additional funding for the project and focus a portion on play features for children ages 4-11.

BUDGET IMPACT: If the grant is awarded the match will be appropriated from the Parks and Recreation bond funds.
