PURPOSE:
Patricia P. Bradley has petitioned for annexation of her property located at 2924-2930 Liberty Rd. In order to consider the annexation covered by this petition, the City Council must set a public hearing.

BACKGROUND:
This property is located within the Tier 1 Growth Area (2013-2019) on the Growth Strategy map in the Comprehensive Plan. The property is contiguous to the City's primary corporate limits. The proposed use for this site is to be developed for non-residential purposes.

City water will be available by connecting to the 8-inch line located in Tiger Lane. In order for this site to be served with water, the owner would be responsible for all costs associated with extending and connecting to the public line.

City sewer will be available by connecting to the 8-inch line located in Tiger Lane. Due to the depth of the existing sewer line and depending on the proposed building placement / grading, it is possible that City sanitary sewer service could only be available by installing a sewer lift station that would connect to the existing system. In order for this site to be served with sanitary sewer, the owner would be responsible for all costs associated with extending and connecting to the public line.

The City's Fire Department notes that this site is currently served by Alamance Station #54 on Presbyterian Road (east) and upon annexation will be served by City Station #53 on Willow Road (north). Service would improve to this location and within our standard of coverage.
