PURPOSE:
To amend portions of the 2013 Resolution which regulated the parliamentary rules and the start time for City Council meetings.
BACKGROUND:
The Greensboro City Council is enabled through state law to adopt its own rules of procedure for its meetings. City Council last adopted such rules in a September 17, 2013 Resolution. This Resolution amends portions of the 2013 Resolution to provide for a new meeting format styled as a Town Hall meeting, and to clarify policies regarding public comment periods, commonly referred to as “Speakers From the Floor.”

It is recommended that City Council adopt this Resolution.
