PURPOSE: The City issued a Request for Proposal to select a consulting firm to develop an inclusive, sustainable, and comprehensive master plan that capitalizes, enhances, and supports the arts in Greensboro. After a thorough review of all proposals, The Cultural Planning Group, LLC has been selected as the consultant of choice. Council approval is required to enter into a contract for the professional services.

BACKGROUND: The Centralized Contracting Division issued an electronic Request for Proposal in March of 2017 to solicit consulting firms to provide professional services to create a Cultural Arts Master Plan specifically for the City of Greensboro. Firms were solicited through the Greensboro electronic procurement system under event number 8574. Five firms responded to the RFP and all five proposals were evaluated on the criteria included in the RFP by the Greensboro Cultural Arts Master Plan (GCAMP) task force. The GCAMP task force is a group that includes members from the arts, business and education community, and is co-chaired by Jacquie Gilliam and Councilwomen Nancy Hoffmann. The task force unanimously identified and selected The Cultural Planning Group, LLC as the consultant of choice based on qualifications and the best value standard of award.
