PURPOSE:

City Council approval is requested to dedicate a Permanent Utility Easement to North Carolina

Department of Transportation (NCDOT) for the Urban Loop (Eastern Loop) at 5 YY Scotridge Point, Parcel #0070246.   

 

BACKGROUND:

The margin and easement dedication was approved by Water Resources Department as this parcel has a sewer easement on the property.  The Margin (for Right of Way) requested by NCDOT of 2,083 Sq. Ft. (.048 acres) and the Temporary Construction Easement of 672 Sq. Ft. (0.015 acres) will be used for the sole purpose of constructing a 6-lane, 46’ median divided freeway (a/k/a Greensboro Eastern Loop), from US 29 (Future I-785) to east of SR 2303 (Lawndale Drive) with an approximate length of 4.7 miles.  

 

BUDGET IMPACT:

There is no budget impact.

 

RECOMMENDATION / ACTION REQUESTED:

The Property Management Section of the Engineering & Inspections Department recommends the approval of the margin tract and easement dedication at 5 YY Scotridge Point.
