PURPOSE:
City Council consideration is requested for a budget ordinance increasing the FY 17-18 Nussbaum Affordable Housing Partnership Fund allocation for additional planned housing activities.
BACKGROUND:
The Neighborhood Development Department’s FY 17-18 Nussbaum Affordable Housing Partnership budget ordinance, approved by City Council in June 2017, included only the annual levy amount which was allocated for administration, asset management and homeless services. The additional housing activities include costs associated with the Housing Our Community planning process, foreclosures, homeowner repairs, non-profit homeowner repairs, and homebuyer education programs.
BUDGET IMPACT:
The increased appropriation for FY 17-18 Nussbaum Affordable Housing Partnership Fund, in the amount of $225,000, is reflected in the attached ordinance.
RECOMMENDATION / ACTION REQUESTED:
City Council is requested to approve the budget ordinance amending FY 17-18 Nussbaum Affordable Housing Partnership Fund Budget Ordinance.
