PURPOSE:
City Council approval is requested for a change order on Contract 2016-052 - West Wendover Avenue Sidewalk Gap (C-5555) with P & S Grading, LLC in the amount of $55,000.00. The cost of the change order is for expenses that will be reimbursed at 80% by the North Carolina Department of Transportation.
BACKGROUND:
The original work was for installation of concrete sidewalk along with ADA compliant concrete curb ramps.
This work associated with the change order consists of all labor, equipment, and incidentals required for overrun of materials for added milling, paving, and addition of pay item for replacement of existing water vault.
The original contract amount is $125,561.10 and approval of this change order in the amount of $55,000.00 will make the new contract value $180,561.10.
The contractor was awarded the bid on April 6, 2017 and met a DBE goal of 7%
