PURPOSE:
The attached ordinance serves to amend Chapter 25 of the Local Code of Ordinances for the City of Greensboro relative to solid waste fees for FY 17-18. A budget amendment needs to be approved by City Council to adopt this code change.
BACKGROUND:
The proposed amendment to Chapter 25 of the Local Code of Ordinances will revise solid waste fees in order to improve the cost recovery with the associated programs. The amendment will increase each of the following service fees by $10:
• Commercial Dumpster Recycling Collection
• Unscheduled Commercial Dumpster Collection (Refuse and Recycling)
• ABC Recycling Collections (Inside and Outside CBD)
BUDGET IMPACT:
The Local Code of Ordinances amendment reflects changes for adjustments to FY 17-18 user fees and may be amended during the year, if necessary.
RECOMMENDATION / ACTION REQUESTED:
It is requested and recommended that the City Council adopt the attached budget ordinance amending the Local Code of Ordinances for FY 17-18.
