PURPOSE:
The attached ordinance serves to amend various codes contained in the Local Code of Ordinances for the City of Greensboro relative to user charges for FY 17-18. A budget amendment needs to be approved by City Council to adopt this code change.
BACKGROUND:
The following amendment to the Local Code of Ordinances is associated with the adoption of the FY 17-18 Annual Budget:
1. Ordinance amending Chapter 29-46 of the Greensboro Code; amending water and sewer fees effective on and after July 1, 2017.
2. Ordinance amending Chapter 29-59 of the Greensboro Code; amending acreage fees for utility extensions outside of city limits effective on and after July 1, 2017.
BUDGET IMPACT:
The Local Code of Ordinances amendment reflects necessary changes for adjustments to FY 17-18 applicable to user fees and may be amended during the year if necessary.
RECOMMENDATION / ACTION REQUESTED:
It is requested and recommended that the City Council adopt the attached budget ordinance amending the Local Code of Ordinances for FY 17-18.
