PURPOSE:
Ordinance will amend the FY 16-17 Equipment Services Fund Capital Outlay budget to provide funding for the purchase of 7 pieces of equipment.
BACKGROUND:
This ordinance addresses needs identified in four departments by providing or replacing a variety of equipment. The departments involved are Water Resources, Neighborhood Development, Engineering & Inspections, and Field Operations. The Water Resources equipment includes a TV Truck for pipeline inspections and a meter shop vehicle. The Neighborhood Development equipment includes a vehicle for Code Compliance. The Engineering & Inspections equipment includes two vehicles for inspections and facilities use. The Field Operations equipment includes two vehicles for the Landfill. The funding is included in the departmental budgets to purchase the vehicles.
BUDGET IMPACT:
There is no net budget impact to the organization. The budgeted funds will be transferred to Equipment Services after the equipment is purchased.
A budget adjustment is required to move funding to the appropriate departmental accounts.
RECOMMENDATION / ACTION REQUESTED:
The departments involved request that City Council approve the attached ordinance amending the Equipment Services Fund.
