PURPOSE:
The Property Management Section of the Planning Department is in the process of accepting dedicated park land as City-owned property. The park is described on an approved subdivision plat.
BACKGROUND:
Some subdivisions require that the owner dedicate areas for park land in order to meet the development requirements. The City has the option of accepting these and taking ownership after dedication. The subject property is already being maintained by the City as a public park by the Field Operations Department. The Parks & Recreation Department has requested that the City accept the dedication of this property for public use.
The current owner of the property is Southside Neighborhood Community Association, Inc. The property is located at 328 Martin Luther King Jr Drive. It is approximately .25 Acres and is identified as County Tax Parcel, #0001115.
BUDGET IMPACT:
There will be no budget impact for this dedication.
RECOMMENDATION / ACTION REQUESTED: Staff recommends acceptance of this dedication by deed.
