PURPOSE:
In accordance with N.C.G.S. 18B-700(g1), it is necessary for the salary for the City of Greensboro ABC Board general manager to be approved by the local board.
BACKGROUND:
N.C.G.S. 18B-700(g1) states that the salary authorized for the general manager, as defined in G.S. 18B-101, of a local board shall not exceed the salary authorized by the General Assembly for the clerk of superior court of the county in which the appointing authority was originally incorporated unless such compensation is otherwise approved by the appointing authority. The current salary for the Guilford County Clerk of Superior Court is $120,131.
BUDGET IMPACT:
There will be no budget impact as a result of this resolution.
RECOMMENDATION / ACTION REQUESTED:
Council is being requested to consider the resolution to approve the recommended salary of the City of Greensboro ABC Board General Manager.
